first semester

Wow, look how time flies. First semester is almost over. 

Had my first final exam for my Master's degree yesterday. It was awfully loooong. Seriously, the allocated 2 hours and the 30minutes extension weren't enough. I even didn't have time to sleep during the exam. Haha

Almost everybody brought their laptops for the exam, except for me and Karol. We were so old school. Armed with our hardcopies during the exam. It would have been easier to browse through slides and use the Find function BUT I like seeing many slides at the same time. And I don't know how am I supposed to write on my yellow paper with a laptop propped on the desk. We both were contemplating to purchase a netbook just for the exam but then my innate cheapskate got the better hold of me. HAHAHA What good would a netbook do to me if I still have a good laptop. 

I looooove Shobe. She's been with me since 2008Q1 and is still functioning pretty good. Less than 20 blue screens, I think. I just can't bring it during exams because it's huge. I don't want to lug it around because I'm paranoid that it might not be up for travel/commuting. And there is the fear that I will get mugged. Haha I'm such a scaredy-cat.

I just hope I get a decent final exam' score to make up for that dismal midterm exam. Here's to the remaining 5 semesters of graduate school! Cheers!
